NEW THING TO DO

Keep mommy and daddy together.

1 month till my b-day

that is all

DREAM

I had a weird dream. there were concrete cubes in a very large, architecturally beautiful building. the cubes were the ground and went up and down really fast and I had to cross them when they were even with each other and jump as well (kinda like those old videogames) and I was carrying the heaviest backpack ever with a few text books in my arms...

slinky9601 (6:10:57 AM): that dream was at like 1am

slinky9601 (6:11:09 AM): and I made it all the way across and to safety

slinky9601 (6:11:47 AM): and then found out that I forgot a couple books on the other side and had to cross back there to get them

slinky9601 (6:12:03 AM): and cross back over again

slinky9601 (6:17:38 AM): and I kept on tripping on the blocks when I couldn't time it right and kept hitting my shins... ouch

slinky9601 (6:19:54 AM): and then there was this black woman who I met while crossing back the second time..dunno what that was for.

weird dream and so many symbols that I decided to look it up on dreammoods.com.. interesting

Blocks

To see a block or blocks in your dream, represents obstacles that you need to overcome. These are things that try to hinder you from achieving your goals. Alternatively, it symbolizes a vision and making something out of nothing.

Concrete

To see concrete in your dream, represents your solid and clear understanding of some situation. The dream may also mean that you are unyielding and inflexible.

Backpack

To see or carry a backpack in your dream, represents the decisions and responsibilities that are weighing your down.
Pain

To dream that you are in pain, signifies that you are being too hard on yourself with regards to a situation that was out of your control.

African American Woman

To see a woman in your dream, represents nurturance, passivity, caring nature, and love. It refers to your own female aspects.

To see an African American in your dream, signifies your roots and heritage. You may need to discover the soul within your own self. Additionally, you are ready to be more expressive and creative.

(Is this woman Chia? or me wanting to know Chinese or be more feminine?)

Small
To dream that you are small and everyone is normal sized, suggests that you are suffering from low self-esteem and/or a sense of helplessness. Perhaps you are being overlooked.

(In my dream the woman was also my size. but the building was out of proportion and I'm junping from block to block. Pretty small.)

you know you love your sister when...

1. you don't feel well, but you do anything for her (hint: she can't drive)
2. her friends call you at 2 pm to see what she's doing and if she wants to sneak out
3. you get up out of bed after a little over an hour of sleep to ask your sister to wake up and answer her phone or at least answer on yours.
4. she decides to go and so you get ready in 5 mins. and wait
5. she takes half an hour to get ready and you say "take your time"
6. you pack up and ready everything for her to jump into the car.
7. she tells you after 35 mins that it's too late and she decides not to go.
8. you can't sleep anymore, but are just glad that her common sense took over.
9. she tells you to open the computer and grab the low wattage lamp for her.
10. She chats online for 5 mins and turns off what took 5 mins to set up.
11. She goes to bed annoyed that you didn't wake her earlier and you say "sorry".
12. she doesn't ever say "thank you." or any form of it.
13. you're still up while she has gone to bed.
14. all this happens in one night
15. you will never tell your sister about how you feel except through this blog that she will never read.

And I don't want her to read it. I am genuinely thankful that she tell me her plans and her friends call me to ask permission. I am thankful that I can keep her as safe as I can. I am thankful that she is not trying worse things like drugs(yet... hope to prevent it) and alcohol (hope she has it under control). I am thankful that she is my sister and I want to keep it that way. This is what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Grandpa

Visited my grandpa yesterday. Quite uneventful like usual, but I did notice how much he aged in the week that he was in the hospital. He has lost a ton of weight. He used to look supple and healthy. Now he looks skinny, but his voice is still strong and determined and at 95, he still has very minimal wrinkles on his face. Seriously, he doesn't have wrinkles on his forehead or cheeks. Only around the eyes a little(but who doesn't), and smile lines. He still can do most things by himself. He cannot go upstairs anymore; It's been a month now. ADA fixtures have been added to his house so that he doesn't have to squat too low or reach too far.
Grandpa is doing good. Not great like before. I blame the hospital. They would not let him get out of bed for over a week..muscle deterioration. They would not let him have solid foods...bye bye fat stores. Powder that is mixed into water was also not allowed. He lived on chicken broth and jello for a couple weeks. That's tough for elderly. Hell, that's tough for me!! They put the air conditioning on too high in his room and gave him a thin blanket and sheet. He caught pneumonia at the hospital. Luckily that cleared up pretty fast, but it made him miss a wedding. Stupid Hospital... Check-up on your older patients! They need more attention!
